Senator Sandy Crawford's Capitol Report for the Week of April 7, 2025

Thursday, April 10, 2025

    April 10, 2025

This time of year is busy in the Capitol. The building tends to fill up with visitors, so I spend a lot of time meeting with constituents. This week, I had two job shadows with the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). Damara Hood and Kaydince Kindle, both students at Appleton City High School, spent most of the day with me.

I did not have any bills up for debate before the Senate this week, but they continue to make their way through the process in the Missouri House of Representatives. I am hopeful they will be in good position to get across the legislative finish line and become law.

Next week, the Senate Appropriations Committee will begin our work on the Fiscal Year 2026 state operating budget. The budget has to be delivered to the governor no later than 6 p.m. on Friday, May 9. I expect the budget to be on the Senate floor within the next couple of weeks.

I am honored to serve as your senator in the Missouri Senate. If, at any time, you have questions, concerns or ideas regarding state government, please feel free to contact me at 573-751-8793 or Sandy.Crawford@senate.mo.gov.
