Senator Karla May Notifies St. Louis Residents of SNAP Benefits Replacement Extension JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Karla May, D-St. Louis, is notifying residents of St. Louis who receive state assistance that they may be eligible for lost food reparations. Those who lost food purchased with Supplemental and Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits due to the storms and power outages on May 16 now have until July 16, 2025 to report their loss to the Family Support Division (FSD). St. Louis residents who live in the following zip codes are eligible for this extension: 63107, 63108, 63112, 63113 and 63115. “I am grateful to the department for providing another extension for replacing SNAP benefits,” Sen. May said. “The devastation our community experienced on May 16 has had lingering effects, and it will take months, possibly years, to fully recover. In this time, it is important that everyone’s basic needs are met, and I believe this extension helps achieve that goal.” The Missouri Department of Social Services provided the following information in a press release on June 16.
